Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Database Coordinator is a member of the Development Team dedicated to the engagement of individuals, families, foundations and corporations to provide annual philanthropic support for the mission of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The Database Coordinator reports to the Donor Relations Manager and works closely with the Annual Fund Director, Senior Gift and Planned Giving Officer, Gift Officer for Education and Outreach, other members of the Development staff and organizational colleagues in Finance and Ticketing/Patron Services.

This position requires a self-motivated, pro-active person with experience of completing detailed tasks and event planning. Keeping Boys Town’s Mission in mind, our Development Coordinator works with the Director of Development as well as independently to achieve fundraising goals. Seeking a forward thinking multi-tasker, this position will coordinate special events, manage social media for the site, manage grants, manage calendars, coordinate volunteers, prepare written material and reports, present information, correspond with donors and document activity within the Donor Database.

Gift Officer

Position Summary
Primary responsibility of this position is to solicit annual and major gifts in support of identified priorities and goals of Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. The Gift Officer will be responsible for establishing close working relationships with prospects and donors as well as the members of the board of St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation, the hospital’s community board, senior management and physicians to meet annual fundraising goals.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Certification, Registration, or Licensure: CFRE preferred.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of seven years experience in a professional fundraising role with a demonstrated ability to solicit and close gifts. Previous experience in healthcare fundraising preferred.

Grant Officer

Position Summary
The Grant Officer functions as a member of the development team with the goal of securing grant funding from private and public sources to maintain and advance the mission of Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican. This position will be responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit and coordinate grants.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Certification, Registration, or Licensure: None required. Certification as a Grant Professional preferred.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Two to four years experience in proposal and/or grant writing. Able to work independently with excellent follow-up. Able to handle multiple projects concurrently that involves organizing and prioritizing work assignments to meet deadlines. Exceptional writing skills with an understanding of not-for-profit healthcare and community outreach/benefit programs. Previous experience in writing and submitting state and federal grants preferred.
